Our Stories

The ladies in Espresso Yourself initially were brought together through their participation with a church drama team in the early 2000s. Creatively they just “clicked,” and deep and lasting friendships grew from there. They went to Ukraine together for short-term missions, worked on multiple projects together, and laughed until they cried more times than they could count. The convergence of distinct personalities and strengths, along with varied life experiences and a shared passion for God, have created a chemistry that’s fun to watch unfold on stage–because it’s real.

Tanya Pinkerman

Tanya “Tanner” Pinkerman is the Kids Director at Berean Baptist Church. She and her husband live in Lakeville and have two kids. She enjoys golfing and watching sports and theater.

Heather Verstraete

Heather Verstraete is an accomplished educator and professional coach. She holds an Ed.D. degree in Leadership and works in Bloomington Public Schools. She is a personal development executive and founder of Pivotal Pathways. Heather lives in Minneapolis with her family.
